On the Mathematical Theory for the Boltzmann Equation
Monday, November 9, 2009
3:00 PM  to 4:00 PM
1064  Duncan Hall
Rice University
6100 Main St
Houston, Texas, USA

In this talk I will offer a general view of the mathematical theory for the Boltzmann equation. I will cover important mathematical advances developed in the last 30 years regarding existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions for this equation and give recent fascinating developments. I will finish the talk addressing briefly advances in deterministic numerical simulation a possible future research.
