Stretchable, foldable electronics should lead to advancements in electronic-eye cameras, solar cells, semi-transparent and flexible LED displays, with applications in neural and cardiac sensors, cardiac ablation therapy, epidermal electronics, flexible electrode arrays for mapping brain activity in vivo, dissolvable electronics, batteries, pressure sensors and injectable, cellular-scale optoelectronics.
Prof. Huang will present his research on the enabling technologies that are leading toward these goals in stretchable electronics. Prof. Huang will also put this research into the perspective of recent progress in other enabling research and technologies.
