Infrared nanospectroscopy: From plasmons to proteins
Monday, April 28, 2014
to 5:00 PM
101 Brockman Hall for Physics
6100 Main St
Houston, Texas, USA
After a brief overview of fundamentals and applications of s-SNOM, recent achievements such as broadband infrared-spectroscopic mapping of polymers and proteins will be presented, as well as the launching and mapping of propagating and localized plasmons in graphene nanostructures.
Prior to the talk we will be holding a poster session competition entitled "Optics Across Campus" where presentations can be viewed from 3 pm to 4 pm.
